Elizabeth (Liz) is the Director of The Relationship Therapy Centre in an holds registration as an Australian Psychologist. Elizabeth is also the author and creator of Parenting as a Team which is a program for couples to unite and help each other during parenting stress (launch in 2024). Elizabeth integrates contemporary attachment theory and the application of reflective function into her clinical and teaching work. Liz provides Marathon Therapy for couples in her private practice in Sydney.

Laurie is a registered nurse, certified childbirth educator, and Training Specialist for the Bringing Baby Home program. She has a passion for supporting new parents through the myriad of changes that occur when a baby joins the family. She believes the Gottman principles taught in a Bringing Baby Home course are invaluable in helping new parents understand and successfully navigate the transition to parenthood. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to train other professionals to facilitate this profoundly impactful workshop.
Laurie is married and is the mother of five children. She teaches childbirth classes at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, and is a frequent volunteer in her children’s schools and her church’s organizations for children and youth.
Michael Brown
Michael Brown is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, one of only two Certified Gottman Therapists in Northeast Florida, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He provides bi-monthly Art and Science of Love Weekend Workshops for Couples in Jacksonville and clinical training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Prior to starting a private practice, Michael worked with children, adolescents, parents, couples, families, and groups for 13 years in community mental health and substance abuse treatment, the last eight with the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Northeastern Arizona. He is Spanish-English bilingual and has provided couples therapy, workshops, and clinical training in Spanish.

Michael was introduced to Gottman Method during his practicum year and quickly became enamored of it. He found that it gave him the competence and confidence to be a better couples therapist and the couples that he works with the skills they needed to improve their relationship. The consultation process was both challenging and supportive and it helped him to hone his skills as a couples therapist and to integrate Gottman Method into his practice. He would hope to provide the same kind of support and challenge for consultees.
Michael is also a Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Clinical Trainer and an Art and Science of Love Couples Workshop Leader.
He is interested in working with diverse populations (and consultees). Prior to starting his private practice in Jacksonville in August of 2017, Michael worked in community mental health and substance abuse treatment for 13 years, the last 8 with the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Eastern Arizona. He also has experience in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish. Prior to his career in marriage and family therapy, Michael was in pastoral work for 17 years. He lived and worked in Peru for 10 years. One of his dreams is to train therapists in Gottman Method in Peru and in other parts of Latin America. Michael is happy to provide consultation in both English and Spanish.

Mary Beth George
Mary Beth George is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Gottman Therapist, Level 3 Trainer and Consultant for the Gottman Institute. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Penn State University. After working for several years as a Registered Dietitian, she recognized the need to augment those skills and pursued a Master of Education in Counseling from University of North Texas, graduating cum laude. She has over twenty-five years of clinical and management experience, as well as teaching and managing a graduate internship at Texas A&M University. She is co-owner of Couples Counseling and Psychotherapy Associates in Kingwood, TX.

As a clinician, Mary Beth’s passion is to aid couples in healing their relationships and spreading the Gottman message. She offers four modalities of Gottman Method™ Couples Therapy:  Couples counseling, marathon therapy, The Art & Science of Love Weekend Workshops and premarital counseling.  She has an interest in working with clients with LGBT concerns, Emotion Coaching skills for parents, women’s issues and couples affected by affairs. She also trains mental health clinicians in Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Gottman Method, and serves as a consultant for therapists pursuing certification.
In both her career as a dietitian and therapist, Mary Beth has written and contributed to numerous articles in both professional and lay publications. She has been a featured speaker at local, state and national events. Mary Beth is passionate about the Gottman Method and has built a successful therapy practice around it. She loves seeing couples heal their relationships through counseling and marathon therapy, as well as The Art & Science of Love workshops, which she teaches four times per year. Mary Beth stays busy by conducting Gottman Trainer workshops at all levels, as well as working on an Emotion Coaching project for TGI. To stay connected to the Gottman community she roves at The Art & Science of Love workshops in Seattle, and has built a strong network of colleagues and friends. In short, Mary Beth believes in the Gottman Method and loves what she does.
In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mary Beth has worked for many years as a dietitian, often blending her two specialty areas. Her background is varied with clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching at Texas A & M University and managing a graduate level internship program, and working with unique populations including domestic violence and LGBT. Mary Beth’s style in working with clients and students alike is straightforward, collaborative and compassionate. She has not forgotten what it is like to be a consultee struggling to get videotapes, so she can offer plenty of empathy, advice and humor to keep that process going smoothly.
Mary Beth is happily married with a teenage son, retired racing greyhound, and the sweetest Australian Shepherd on the planet. She is a nature junkie and loves to hike, run, garden, eat healthfully and travel to scenic destinations.

Carolyn Rich Curtis
Carolyn Rich Curtis, PhD is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of the Relationship Skills Center. She obtained her doctorate at the Professional School of Psychology. The Relationship Skills Center has been recognized as one of the leading organizations in the nation in building healthy relationships, and was awarded two Healthy Marriage federal grants. Dr. Curtis spoke at the White House regarding the success of their program.

In her clinical practice, she specialized in working with couples, alcohol abuse, and trauma, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She was an adjunct faculty member in the Psychology Department of California State University, Sacramento and American River College. Dr. Curtis is a trainer of facilitators in four evidenced based relationship/marriage education programs. She presented papers at various national conferences. She is a wife, mother, step mother, and grandmother.
Beth Goss
Beth Goss did her graduate work in Elementary Education and is a Gottman Educator and Training Specialist for the Bringing Baby Home program. She is also a full-time faculty member at North Seattle College where she teaches parent education classes to families raising children birth-5 years. In addition, Beth is a certified childbirth educator and formerly taught classes and ran postpartum support groups for Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She is married and the mother of two children.

Alysha graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Women’s Studies and earned a Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah. Alysha began her career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her experience in the human service field spans twenty plus years and includes directing a homeless shelter in the Washington DC area and working with domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in various settings. A successful private practice in Salt Lake City, Utah set the stage for her current work. After moving to Texas she worked at Family Time Crisis and Counseling Center and became a Social Work Supervisor for students and interns. In 2007, she co-founded what is now known as Couples Counseling and Psychotherapy Associates, a thriving practice that serves Kingwood, Texas and surrounding communities.
Alysha is passionate about helping couples heal from betrayals, enhance their friendships, manage conflict, and create shared meaning in their lives. She has been drawn to John Gottman’s work since the early days of her practice. It was a dream realized to become a Certified Gottman Therapist. She offers four modalities of Gottman Method™ Couples Therapy: Couples counseling, Marathon therapy, the Art & Science of Love Weekend Workshops, and Premarital counseling. Since becoming certified, she has advanced further to become a Level 3 Trainer, now offering all levels of Gottman Method Couples Therapy training to clinicians and provides consultation for therapists working toward certification.

Alysha entered the human service field in the early 1990s. As she entered private practice, Alysha was quickly introduced to the Gottman Method in her search for a means to better serve clients struggling in their relationships. Becoming certified has helped her build skills essential to aiding couples heal from years of hurt and betrayal. To Alysha, enabling more therapists to be trained in the Gottman Method is vital.
Alysha feels driven to do as much as she possibly can in order to help couples as well as therapists seeking to help couples. She is an Art & Science of Love Couples Weekend Workshop presenter and a Level 1, 2 and 3 Trainer. She also provides marathon therapy. Alysha and her colleague, Mary Beth George, have built a practice dedicated to training clinicians and treating couples. Patricia helps couples to connect deeply, manage conflict, and honor dreams. She believes that each partner within the couple has a story that needs to be heard and honored. She helps couples build trust and security in each other, and help them to fight less and realize dreams– both their own dreams and that of their partner’s. Intense fighting, affairs, separations, gridlocked problems, deep hurts, parenting struggles, financial difficulties, and feeling disconnected are common referral issues. Patricia draws treatment strategies from the two most effective couple therapies, the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Couples work together with her to design their own custom-tailored treatment plan. She also conducts Marathon Couples Therapy sessions, assisting couples to resolve intense conflict in a multisession or one or two day format.
