The Transition to Parenthood Becoming parents is a new beginning. For most couples, it is a time of hope, anticipation, and excitement. The secret to successfully managing the transition is to keep your relationship strong. The Transition to Parenthood is an evidence-based and research-tested program to help prepare couples for life with a new baby and the joys and challenges of the important and exciting time. It builds on what Dr. John Gottman and colleagues found is the best predictor of relationship adjustment after a baby arrives: the quality of friendship in the relationship. In this pre-recorded ZOOM webinar, you will learn about the challenges you’ll face in parenthood, how to gain relationship satisfaction, and how to create a healthy environment that promotes emotional and intellectual development for your children. Hosted by Julie Blackburn and Joni Parthemer Moderated by Philippe Post
