David Lechnyr

David Lechnyr, LCSW, is a Certified Gottman Therapist (#436), Certified Gottman Level 1 Trainer, and Gottman Seven Principles Leader. He is a licensed clinical social worker in Oregon and Arizona, working exclusively with couples in a fully virtual practice built around Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

David’s clinical approach is structured and skills-based rather than open-ended: couples work through defined, sequential interventions targeting communication breakdown, unresolved conflict, and trust repair, drawn from the Sound Relationship House framework. That same emphasis on structure led him to build a longer-form guided coaching program for couples seeking more intensive support outside of clinical treatment.

As a Certified Gottman Level 1 Trainer, David teaches Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1: Bridging the Couple Chasm to licensed clinicians and agencies building Gottman Method competency on their teams. His Seven Principles Leader certification extends that same structured approach directly to couples, qualifying him to lead The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
