Brad Hagen

Brad Hagen is a Registered Psychologist, a Registered Nurse, a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist, and a Professor Emeritus (University of Lethbridge). Brad has extensive experience counselling both individual and couples, and particularly enjoys helping couples build stronger and more fulfilling relationships. Brad also has 20 years of experience of University teaching and conducting mental health research, and is drawn to the Gottman Couples Therapy method due to its strong foundation in research. When not working in his full-time private counselling practice, Brad relaxes by mountaineering and skiing in the mountains of Southern Alberta, practicing classical guitar, playing fetch with his two orange cats, and enjoying his happy marriage of 20 years.
Tanja Haley

Tanja always knew she wanted to help people and that passion fuelled her journey to where she is today. A Ph.D. level psychologist in private practice in Calgary for the past 15 years, Tanja has the privilege of spending her days working with couples who are motivated to create stronger and more intimate connections. She has been a follower of Dr. John Gottman’s research since she was in graduate school, and in 2008 Tanja became the first Certified Gottman Couples Therapist in Alberta. Excited to share her passion for psychology she has done many media interviews, and is always happy to share her knowledge by teaching the occasional university course or supervising beginning psychologists. When she is not at work you will find Tanja practicing the Gottman principles on her husband of 20 years, Steve, romping with their two pugs, or finishing the self-help book she’s been writing… for a while now!
William Bumberry

William Bumberry, is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years experience working with couples. He has been with the Gottman Institute for more than a decade and is a Senior Certified Gottman Method Trainer and Consultant. In addition to being an active member of TGI’s Speaker Bureau, Dr. Bumberry serves as a consultant to clinicians seeking certification and is a Video Reviewer for the final step of the certification process. He is certified to present all three levels of the Gottman Method training sequence, as well as the Art & Science of Love workshop.
Dr. Bumberry is a member of the American Psychological Association and is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. Louis University. Since becoming a certified trainer for the Gottman Institute, Dr. Bumberry has presented Gottman professional trainings, as well as offering talks to the public throughout the U.S. and abroad. He is an experienced, clear, energetic speaker with the ability to present complicated material in a practical, easy to use manner. Dr. Bumberry is passionate about helping clinicians bring the Gottman Method into their life’s work and making the world a better place, one couple at a time. His presentations are highlighted by a blend of humor, creativity and accessibility.
In addition to his expertise in the Gottman Method, Dr. Bumberry integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy into his work and teaching. Over the course of his career he has worked with many of the pioneers of the Family Therapy/Systems Therapy world. For many years he worked closely with Dr. Carl Whitaker. He is co-author of Dancing with the Family: A Symbolic-Experiential Approach, A Different Kind of Caring (videotape) and Reshaping Family Relationships: The Symbolic Therapy of Carl Whitaker.

Vagdevi Meunier, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. She has a private clinical and consulting practice in Austin where she specializes in couples and family therapy, couples workshops, training and supervision, and organizational consultation. Vagdevi has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, consultant, and educator. Vagdevi has been a certified Gottman Couples Therapist and workshop leader since 2006. She offers the “Art and Science of Love” weekend workshop for couples, developed by Dr. John Gottman, in Austin and in other cities in the US. A Master professional trainer for the Gottman Institute, Vagdevi has presented to professional and lay audiences in the US, Canada, and India. Vagdevi incorporates mindfulness, neurobiology, and positive psychology into her presentations on relationships, and has published a book chapter on Positive Couple Relationships from evidence based research around the world and several articles on the Gottman method of couples therapy.
Vagdevi is the founder and Executive Director of The Center for Relationships, a community counseling, training, and outreach center that specializes in promoting flourishing relationships in all spheres based on best practices in relationship science. The Center for Relationships has a research program called Love across Cultures, which looks at committed and intimate relationships in different cultures as well as inter-cultural relationships. The outreach and education programs at the center include couples intensives and retreats, groups, and community forums on healthy relationships, conflict management, trust recovery, and parenting.

Vagdevi Meunier, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. A native of India, Vagdevi has extensive experience with multicultural psychology, especially eastern influences on psychological practice, and cross-cultural research on relationships. Trish Stanley

As a full-time marriage and family psychotherapist for over 30 years, Trish Stanley is an experienced, eclectic clinician whose passion is helping couples become masters of their relationship. Stacy Hubbard

Stacy Hubbard is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Gottman Therapist and Master Trainer, as well as consultant for The Gottman Institute. She earned her Master’s degree in counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from Portland State University in 2005. She passionately pursued training and certification in the method due to the immense benefits to the couples she worked with while using the method.

Stacy has a background in adventure therapy and has worked for Outward Bound and has been an adventure guide and climbing instructor. She has also worked for over a decade in agency settings with children who have been abused and neglected.
Her time now is devoted to private practice, doing therapy with couples as well as individuals who have experienced trauma. Stacy does private therapy, marathon therapy, leads The Art and Science of Love weekend workshops, trains therapists in all levels of the Gottman Method, and serves as a consultant for therapists pursuing certification in the method. She particularly loves to help couples heal from affairs using the affair recovery model created by the Gottmans.
Stacy is currently working on creating a new workshop for The Gottman Institute, which is focused on helping single people learn how to use the method in order to create healthy relationships.

Stacy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in lovely Ashland, Oregon. She considers herself lucky to have discovered the Gottman Method in Graduate School at Portland State University in 2003. The method gave Stacy the framework and the tools to deal with difficult couples. She passionately pursued certification in the method because of how powerful it is. Getting the news that she had passed certification was one of the best days of her life. It has continued to be a blessing to be in this community of amazing clinicians and she has formed some very close friendships with other Certified Gottman Therapists.
