- Recognize the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and what to do if they are attacking your marriage
- Identify your relationship’s specific strengths and how to build on them together
- About the effects of physiological flooding and how it may affect conflict resolution
- How to use the Fondness and Admiration System to renew, respect, and care for one another
- Create an Emotional Bank Account that you can draw upon in times of stress
- Develop your problem-solving skills, including the six skills for effective conflict resolutions

World-renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction, Dr. John Gottman has conducted 40 years of breakthrough research with thousands of couples. He is the author of over 200 published academic articles and author or co-author of more than 40 books, including The New York Times bestseller The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Dr. Gottman’s media appearances include Good Morning America, Today, CBS Morning News, and Oprah, as well articles in The New York Times, Redbook, Glamour, Woman’s Day, People, Self, and Psychology Today.
Julie Gottman, Ph.D.
Dr. Julie Gottman is the co-founder and President of The Gottman Institute. A highly respected clinical psychologist, she is sought internationally by media and organizations as an expert advisor on marriage, sexual harassment and rape, domestic violence, gay and lesbian adoption, same-sex marriage, and parenting issues. She is the co-creator of the immensely popular The Art and Science of Love weekend workshops for couples, and she also co-designed the national clinical training program in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Included in this online workshop are the full videos from a live 2019 Art and Science of Love workshop and PDF versions of the Art and Science of Love manual and exercises.

The workshop is structured with 10 different modules, each including videos and exercises to be performed as a couple. This is a self-paced online training, so you can complete the modules on their own time.
What are the exercises like?
The exercises are the exact same exercises you would complete in the live workshop. They are relationship exercises and should be completed together with your partner.
Are CEs available?
No, CEs are not offered for this workshop. Only better relationship skills!

What kind of computer skills do I need?
In order to be successful with this workshop, you must have basic computer or mobile device and internet skills. You should be able to use a browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, and keep it updated to the most recent version. You will need to be able to create an account at gottman.com, complete the purchase process, and visit your account again to launch your workshop. You will need to understand how to click buttons, use video controls, such as pause and play, and download and open PDF files.
How do I access the content?
Log in at gottman.com and visit your “My Account” page to see a list of your workshops. Each workshop will include a button to launch the viewer. The viewer button takes you to a page that contains all the content.
Does the workshop come with printed manuals?
