Deepen Your Understanding of Gottman Method Couples Therapy...
Expand Your Strategies and Interventions in Your Work With Couples!

I found the conference truly inspirational and I feel fortunate to have been able to benefit from all of the wisdom in the room. - (LH, Calgary-2008 Course)

It was really a wonderful and life-changing experience to be there.  The presentation took the research information from Level I into a clinical application that I can really use.  I felt so welcomed and taken care of by the staff. (R.C. from Oakland, CA: 2008 Level II Participant).

What Can You Expect in Level II Training?                  During these four days you will have the opportunity to practice and integrate Drs. John and Julie Gottman's Assessment and Intervention Methods. The goal of this training is to immerse you in the Gottman Methods in order for you to gain confidence in using the techniques in your own clinical work.

  • Refine your clinical skills during this valuable four-day clinical training
  • Learn to internalize and integrate the powerful, research-based Gottman Method Assessment and Intervention techniques in your work with couples. Gain insight as to when to use these methods and when couples therapy is contraindicated.
  • Become skilled in using our newly updated and re-designed Level II Clinical Manual, that now includes revised Gottman Core Assessments, Gottman Supplemental Assessments and 50+ Gottman Interventions
  • Take part in presentations with the Gottmans, practice using Assessments and Interventions in group role-plays, view demonstration films, participate in extensive discussions with Sr. Certified Gottman Therapists and clinicians from around the world
  • Receive supportive coaching from Drs. John and Julie Gottman, Gottman Consultants and Senior Certified Gottman Therapists as you participate in experiential exercises
  • Engage both Drs. John and Julie Gottman in vital dialogue regarding Gottman Method Couples Therapy
  • Networking Suite Reception: Attend an evening reception for all participants, hosted by The Gottman Institute.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our warm community of professionals and colleagues and to connect professionally and personally on a deeper level with like-minded clinicians from around the world!
