Alan Kunovsky - CEO
Alan is TGI's new CEO, but he’s certainly not new to TGI. He is an accomplished businessman who has built both revenue and reputation for numerous companies and organizations, both in America and abroad. In his position as CEO, Alan is responsible for providing management of our overall operations, financial affairs, and strategic development as well as expanding our global sales and outreach. Etana Dykan Kunovsky - Director of Program & Business Development
Etana started The Gottman Institute in 1996 with the Drs. John and Julie Gottman. She is a co-owner of the company and has served in a leadership role as Executive Director for many years. She works intimately with the Gottmans in the development of programs and in setting strategic direction. Etana’s business vision and passion for the Gottmans’ work has propelled the Institute into the establishment of an international presence with worldwide recognition. She is responsible for the development and expansion of new business ventures, our global speaker’s bureau and new program offerings. Etana received an advanced degree in Education from the University of Santa Cruz, CA. She has many years of experience in community and educational program development and as an entrepreneur, has launched numerous companies around the world.

Dave Penner, PhD - Assistant Clinical Director
Dave oversees clinical aspects of The Gottman Relationship Institute including providing consultation to Certified Gottman Therapists and clinicians in training, selecting and training consultants for clinicians pursuing certification, training and supervising video reviewers who certify therapists in the Gottman Method, overseeing quality control of new programs and products, training and supervising roving therapists at couples workshops, responding to quality concerns about therapists and consultants, and answering clinical questions. Dave is a licensed clinical psychologist and has been in practice for over 25 years as an individual and couples therapist working in private practice, university, mental health and hospital settings.

Batia Gottman, M.S. - Director, Professional Development
Batia has decades of experience in training development/delivery as well as strategic planning, organizational development, marketing and administration for corporations and nonprofits. Allie Guerrero - Co-Manager
Allie coordinates the multitude of logistical details that are involved in creating a comfortable and meaningful learning environment for the clinicians who attend our professional trainings. She also administers Continuing Education credits for our Home-study courses. Allie earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Washington and has worked in a variety of office administration positions.

Ann Scranton - Co-Manager
Ann is the key point of contact for clinicians who are in the Certification Track or are already Certified. She handles the day-to-day operations of consultation, video review, and Relationship Center & Referral Network membership. Ann is also involved with The Gottman Relationship Institute's technology, social media, marketing, and web content projects, where the nitpicking skills she developed while getting her English degree can really shine.

Couples Department
Linda Wright, MSW - Couples Services Director
Linda is one of the original Gottman Relationship Institute's staff, having joined the company in 1996. Linda has essentially created the Couples Services Department from the ground up, and she is responsible for the overall management of the Seattle Couples Workshops, as well as daily operations, projects, finance, and staffing for the Couples Department. Linda has a B.A. in Social Justice from Antioch University and a M.S.W. from the University of Washington. She has many years of experience working as Program Director and Counselor in a variety of nonprofit agencies and Superior Family Court. She also has a strong business background in areas such as publishing and education.

Dori Greenaway, M.A.- Couples Services Assistant Director
Dori is a key member of our Couples Services Department where she provides guidance and administrative services to those wanting to register for a Couples Workshop or find a Certified Gottman Therapist. Dori has a B.A. in Human Services from Western Washington University and earned her M.A. in Psychology & Counseling from Goddard College. Dori works with pregnant and post-partum families as a therapist, doula, and childbirth educator—serving south King and Pierce counties.

Products Department
Belinda Gray - Products Department Director
Belinda is responsible for product development, and customer service. With her fantastic team, she is able to provide valuable products and services to our various customers. She coordinates the on-line store presence and also handles the physical store at all our workshops. Her previous experience was in CD/DVD production, sales, Human Resources, and management. She attended Washington State University and received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business.

Kyle Morrison - Product Development and Key Account Coordinator
Kyle is a key member of our Products team, working in both new product development and bulk orders. She is also the webmaster for The Gottman Institute's website. She works to establish vital relationships with clinicians, sponsoring organizations and military contacts. Kyle’s background in public relations, communications and administration, as well as her deeply personal interest in “conscious coupleship,” make her an ideal and enthusiastic team member at TGI.

Kate Ramsburgh M.A., LMFTA - Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Kate is the main point of contact for customer service at The Gottman Institute. She handles the daily inquiries via phone and email from professionals and the public who need assistance with books, workshops, training materials and questionsis. She also develops social media strategy and contributes to product development. Katie has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Montana and earned her M.A. in psychology from Antioch University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate. Katie has worked as a crisis counselor in residential care, a child and family therapist in outpatient services at Ryther Child Center and maintains a private practice in Snoqualmie, WA.

Laura Heck M.A., LMFTA - Customer Service Coordinator, Products Department.
Laura received her B.A. in Communication and Sociology from Western Washington University and M.A. in Psychology from Antioch University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate with a private practice in the Greater Seattle area specializing in pre-marital / pre-commitment counseling. Laura previously worked with Compass Health as a Clinician, providing behavior health counseling to children and teens.

Operations and Finance Department
Cynthia Williams
Cynthia performs Accounts Receivable and various bookkeeping duties in the Department of Operations and Finance. In addition, she manages special office projects and provides support to other departments as needed. She has 20 years of management experience working in small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Cynthia joined The Gottman Institute in 2003.

Sunny Chacko
Sunny has been a CPA accounting professional for more than ten years in various segments of the financial services industry. He is responsible for the oversight of all financial statements. He advises management on all aspects pertaining to finances including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, supporting schedules and variance reports. Sunny received his Bachelor Of Commerce and a Master Of Commerce from The University Of Kerala in India and is a member of The Washington Society Of Certified Public Accountants.
